Who Are We? The Ultimate Kauai Resource
The Kauai Film Commission is a division of the County’s Office of Economic Development. Our purpose is to promote, market and support Kauai as a production location for all media. In essence, we are here to support you -- to make sure you find your locations, that you have the most qualified crew locally available, that you have your equipment ready, your production team staffed and that you have the tastiest craft services ready on location.
What Do We Do? Assist In Your Production Needs
The Kauai Film Commission provides guidance and information, location photos from all techniques, local resource listings, referrals to qualified production personnel, services and accommodations, preferred rates wherever possible, weather information, contacts for filming on private land, and assistance with state and county film permits. The Kauai Film Commission also works to ensure the safety and welfare of the local community and environment.
Does It Cost? Our ALOHA Spirit is Complimentary
The services of the Kauai Film Commission are free and the Kauai Film Commission can assist with the free application and film permitting process for state and county lands. The Film Commission will also assist you with contact and scouting to the remotest of private lands. And, our ALOHA spirit is complimentary.
What Will You Find? An Island of Discovery
Kauai -- one island -- many worlds. Here you will find pristine lush valleys, exotic waterfalls, beautiful white sand beaches, tropical jungles, dramatic mountain ranges, green pastures, and quaint towns and villages. Terrain equal to Tahiti, Africa, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Cambodia, Australia and middle America -- in reality, Kauai! Seasonal temperature variations that are slight, highs rarely reach 90° F on the hottest of summer days, winter nights that only occasionally drop to 60° and an average daily temperature of 81°.
